Ray Manzarek is awesome, he speaks the truth. This movie came out when I was 17 years old. I'd been a Doors fan for about 2 or 3 years at that point (along with literally ALL my friends and lots of other dudes and girls at our High school in Windsor, Ontario. We were all absolutely psyched to see the film! So much so that we all showed up with fake I.D's just in case we were carded at the theater - it was R-rated. So the theater was just packed - people were smoking grass and drinking during the show... I came out of the show just loving the movie! I've seen it since and man! I don't know what I was thinking back then! Val Kilmer looks pretty similar though - I'll give it that but this film is horrible and unwatchable for me nowadays. Love the Doors still - HATE the fucking movie.
